8ozMixed vegetables
5ozBeets
3/4cDried white beans -OR-
1 1/2cString beans
3mdPotatoes
1cTomato puree -OR-
5mdTomatoes
1/2cTo 1 cup sour cream
3tbFlour
  Salt
  Sugar
2tbGreen dill; chopped
  Chives

: Soak beans in boiled and cooled water for a few hours, cook in the same water.

: Grate vegetables and beets, cover with boiling water, prepare stock (if using string beans, cook with vegetables).

: When vegetables are tender, add potatoes cut in cubes and cook together. Rinse tomatoes, cook in separate pot, press through sieve.

: To soup stock with vegetables and potatoes add beans with water in which they have been cooked, add the tomato puree, bring to the boil, add sour cream and flour; add salt and sugar to taste, bring to the boil. Before serving add chopped greens.
